FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1.  Can I pick the shop where my car is repaired?

Yes.  The insurance company may suggest a shop, but the final choice is yours.

2.  Do I need more than one estimate?

No.  You only need one estimate.  If your insurance company requires another opinion they will send an appraiser to the shop your vehicle is at or they may come to your home/workplace.

3. Do you supply a loaner vehilce and is there a cost to me?
Yes.  We have loaner vehicles available but you must have collision coverage on your insurance policy.  There is no cost to the customer but you are responsible for fuel and any tickets you may accrue, as well as any damage done to the vehilce while in your possession.
4.  What if my insurance company does not approve all the repairs?
We can only do the work insurance has approved.  If you do not agree with their estimate, it is vital that you resolve this matter with them before repairs commence.  Customers may pay for any additional work they wish to have done.
5.  What portion of the repairs am I responsible for?
If this is an insurance claim, you are responsible for your deductible, betterment and G.S.T. if this applies to your situation.
6.  What delays can arise with the repairs of my vehicle?
Delays may be caused by backorder parts from the manufacturer or insurance approvals for the intial estimate or any hidden damages that are discovered in the course of the repair.  Delays can also be caused by missing information from the customer such as missing police stickers on vehicles or by difficulty reaching th customer for additional approvals.
7.  How long will you have my vehicle?
This depends on the extent of the damage.  To get a general idea, we take the total estimated labour hours and divide it by 0.3.  This gives you a rough estimate on the number of days we will have your vehicle.
8.  What do I do if I have an accident with the loaner vehicle?

First, call 911 if required.  If you do not require medical attention, call the police directly if you suspect the damage to be near or over $1000.00.  Next, call Calgary Coachworks.  If a tow truck is required, have the vehicle towed to our closest location.  Finally, notify your insurance company.

9.  What form of payment do you accept?
Visa, MasterCard, Debit, Cash, Money Order, or Certified Cheque.
